The construction of two new transportation projects are currently underway in the Hongqiao International Central Business District in Shanghai.
One of the projects is the western extension of the Shanghai Metro Line 17. The new extension starts from Oriental Land Station and ends at Xicen Station.

Upon its completion, the Shanghai Hongqiao CBD will have a new connection to the Yangtze River Delta Integrated Demonstration Zone.
A new road located between the Minhang section and the Jiading section in the Hongqiao CBD has also started construction. The two-way, 975-meter road has four fast lanes and two slow lanes and includes a bridge over the Wusong River.
