The sixth Shanghai International Orchid Show held from April 28 to May 12 is said to be captivating and enchanting flower fans from all over at the Chenshan Botanical Garden.
It's located in East China's Shanghai – housing over 200 orchid varieties and more than 20,000 blossoms.

Among the highlights is the Chinese orchids special exhibition, offering visitors a glimpse into the captivating allure of the blooms which have long been revered as the epitome of elegance in Chinese culture.
The exhibition showcases five main categories – the Chunlan, Huilan, Jianlan, Molan and Hanlan orchids.
Of these, the Huilan category stands out as one of China's oldest and most beloved varieties, renowned for its graceful leaves, delicate fragrance and timeless beauty.
Appreciating orchids goes beyond their visual appeal, with visitors encouraged to contemplate the deeper meaning behind these exquisite blooms. In Chinese culture, the quality of orchids is often likened to human character, making orchid appreciation a profound and enriching experience.
During the passage of time, many cherished national orchid varieties have been lost to history. Nevertheless, the Shanghai International Orchid Show offers a rare opportunity to admire over 30 prized Huilan specimens, including both traditional favorites and newly discovered treasures.
Most notably, the exhibition features the resurrection of the once-lost Houcuichan orchid, adding an extra layer of excitement for attendees.
