The 2025 East Asia Marine Expo opened on Sept 7 in Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA), bringing together over 450 exhibitors and organizations across a 50,000-square-meter exhibition space.

The three-day event, running until Sept 9, features five major zones, including a marine development achievements zone, a marine biopharmaceutical zone, a marine technology and equipment zone, a marine international products zone, and a dedicated exhibition area for the RoboCup Asia-Pacific Qingdao Invitational Tournament.

The marine development achievements zone provides a fresh and immersive experience for attendees. The exhibits focus on storytelling and international expression, while displaying products such as marine engineering equipment, fishery tools, precision instruments, and biopharmaceuticals. This section not only highlights Shandong's marine development but also demonstrates the province's ambition to become a marine powerhouse.

For the first time, the expo features a dedicated marine biopharmaceutical zone with 85 leading companies and institutions. This section presents a comprehensive industry ecosystem, from the development of marine biological resources and active substance extraction to new drug R&D, biological agent production, and clinical applications.

A major highlight of the expo is the area for the RoboCup Asia-Pacific Qingdao Invitational Tournament. Presented as a standalone exhibit, the competition features seven events, including humanoid robot soccer and intelligent rescue challenges. A total of 84 teams and nearly 400 participants from 12 countries and regions, including China, Thailand, Malaysia, and Russia, are competing to demonstrate their cutting-edge robotics and innovation.
