Amidst the serene landscapes of Shandong, the swans have once again graced the land with their presence, drawn by the region's hospitality. From the tranquil waters of Jinan's Chensha Lake Reservoir to the lush greenery of Qingdao's Laixi Lake, these elegant creatures have found solace in the winter havens of Shandong.

As they glide gracefully through the blue skies and crystal-clear waters, over 60 swans have made their way to Laixi Lake, joining the myriad of migratory birds that flock to the region every winter. In Rongcheng, known as the "city of swans," thousands find refuge in the clear seas, creating a spectacle of beauty and harmony.

The arrival of the swans reflects the significant improvement in Shandong's ecological environment.

In recent years, Shandong has taken the lead in ecological civilization construction, providing suitable habitats for migratory birds through measures such as wetland protection, river management, and green space expansion.

For example, in the Jinan Start-up Area for Growth Drivers Transformation, the proportion of blue and green spaces exceeds 70 percent, the water quality of water sources meets stable standards, and the regional ecological environment quality has improved significantly.

The ecological system of Laixi Lake in Qingdao continues to be restored, attracting hundreds of thousands of migratory birds to stay and nest each year, while the Bailu Bay wetland in Rizhao has become a model of harmonious coexistence between locals and nature. In Rizhao, wetland protection is strictly enforced, and the spontaneous participation of people in bird protection has become a trend.
