Enterprises in Nantong's Su-Tong Science and Technology Park (NSIP) are making great contributions of funds and materials to support the city in the fight against the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak.

Shemar Electric, a national high-tech power equipment manufacture, had donated one million yuan ($143,680) to Nantong to help prevent and control the epidemic as of Feb 5.

Founded in 1996, Shemar has developed eight categories of technologies and products which have filled in the blanks in electric power equipment problems in the international market through the application of new material technologies. Shemar's products have saved its customers more than 40 billion yuan. In 2012 and 2017, it won the grand prize at the National Science and Technology Progress Awards.

Shemar has always fulfilled its social responsibility, and to date has donated over 15 million yuan to charity activities and organizations.
