Nearly 226 enterprises in Su-Tong Science and Technology Park (NSIP), accounting for 92.6 percent of the park's total, had resumed production as of Mar 8.

The enterprises have brought their 7,450 employees back to work, which is 74.6 percent of the park's workers.

NSIP has taken supportive measures to help enterprises resume work and production, especially in terms of human resources. Based on preliminary information collection and analysis, NSIP integrated supply and demand information and supplied accurate recruitment information in answer to 800 requests by 12 enterprises for distribution to related-employees.

It also launched two free online recruitment service platforms to allow the enterprises and employees to have direct contact. The platforms bring together about 1,400 jobs from enterprises and information on 7,000 employees from low-risk areas.

In addition, the park's free legal and background check services also help enterprises in recruitment problems. So far, they have provided more than 500 health examinations, including repeat examinations as required.

Jiejie Semiconductor, a high-tech semiconductor manufacturer in the park, faced labor shortage to meet production needs of overseas orders since the resumption of work. When the park learned of Jiejie's situation, it took the initiative to offer help through the online recruitment service and channel cooperation. So far, the company has had 400 workers return to work, 70 percent of its total, and recovered 60 percent of its production capacity, according to Qian Qingyou, a Jiejie director.

At present, NSIP has helped over 1,600 employees for Unisteel China, Jiejie Semiconductor, Tongfu Microeletronics, Shanghai Dongfeng Diesel Institute and Fujix Precision Electronics. It has also used its advantageous human resources radiation to introduce over 2,000 employees to enterprises in surrounding areas, including Tongfu Microeletronics and Hi-P Electronics.
