Nantong digital transportation industry park attracts leading companies within first year
The Nantong Digital Transportation Industry Park, established in Chongchuan district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, in October of last year, has achieved significant milestones in its inaugural year, attracting a host of leading companies in the digital transportation sector.
To date, the park has connected with over 70 enterprises, and there are currently seven key players in the industrial chain operating in the park.
Among the first to set up operations in the park is the Zhixing Weilai Car Networking Innovation Center, which focuses on smart transportation and car networking services. The company boasts rich product offerings and practical experience in areas such as smart vehicles, in-vehicle intelligence, smart roads, vehicle-road coordination, and cloud computing.
Xu Changyong, general manager of the company, described the park's strategic advantage: "The park brings together companies along the entire industrial chain, making it convenient for us to identify suppliers".
With a current total of 32 enterprises operating in the park, the park's industrial focus revolves around traffic planning and design, transportation services, transportation regulation, and the monitoring and testing of traffic facilities. This has led to the formation of a relatively complete industrial chain.
In the first half of this year, the park's enterprises generated a total revenue of 256 million yuan ($35.32 million), with an expected annual revenue of 784 million yuan.
Recently, the park received official recognition from the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Transportation and was designated as a Jiangsu Provincial Digital Transportation Industry Park, making it one of only two such parks in the entire province.
