Nantong ZGC Information Valley to boost local digital industry
The opening ceremony for the Nantong Zhongguancun Information Valley was held in Chongchuan district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on May 8, local media reported.
The event was attended by experts and enterprises from the digital and soft information and science and technology information industries.
Chen Kun, deputy director of the software and information service bureau of the Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu, attended the event and delivered a speech.
Chen said that Chongchuan, the main urban area of Nantong, is a hub for talent and enterprises of the digital industry.
He believes that the information valley will become an important driver of growth for the city's digital industry.
Ling Yi, vice-mayor of Nantong, said at the conference that Nantong and Chongchuan will further boost the development of the digital industry.
He also expressed hope that the Beijing Zhongguancun Information Valley would help bring more enterprises to Nantong and boost the development of the local digital industry.
During the event, six experts from the industry delivered speeches and shared their views on the industry's development prospects.
According to information shared at the event, the valley has to date attracted 66 enterprises and aims to become home to over 500 enterprises in the future.
