Nantong Art Museum displays watercolor paintings

A national watercolor masters invitation exhibition opened at the Nantong Art Museum in Jiangsu province on Nov 3.

Running until mid-November, this exhibition is co-hosted by the Art News of China agency, Jiangsu Artists Association, the publicity department of the Nantong municipal committee of the Communist Party of China, and Nantong University.

The exhibition combines 60 works created by 30 watercolor masters from around China. The artworks encompass a range of themes, including landscapes, figures, and still life. They not only demonstrate the artists' exceptional painting skills but also articulate profound insights into the interconnectedness of life, nature, and humanity, as well as everyday experiences.

"The exhibited works are particularly rich in variety, and they bring visual impact and spiritual shock," said a visitor named Shen after viewing the exhibition. As an art enthusiast, she often visits the Nantong Art Museum to see exhibitions. She said, "Every year, I see many high-quality exhibitions. This time is no exception. Both in terms of content and formal expression, it is full of surprises and has taught me a lot."
