Nantong celebrates 75th anniversary of founding with artworks

The sixth Nantong Artworks Exhibition was unveiled at the Nantong Art Museum on Oct 22 to celebrate the 75th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China.
The exhibition includes 250 artworks by artists in Nantong as well as local art lovers, featuring a variety of themes and depicting the city's Chinese-style modernization practices.

The exhibits have been divided into six categories – award-winners, traditional Chinese paintings, oil paintings, woodblock paintings, artistic design, and composite paintings.
"It's a treat to see such a large-scale exhibition, which not only allows me to understand the city's culture from a different perspective but also broadens my horizons by expanding my professional knowledge. Especially in the use of colors, I will be more daring and personalized," noted Sun Haowei, a visitor from Shandong province.

The biennial Nantong Artworks Exhibition, which is the largest comprehensive exhibition in the city, is organized by the Publicity Department of the Nantong Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Nantong municipal bureau of culture, broadcasting, television, and tourism, and the Nantong Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
Since its inception in 2014, it has showcased a series of outstanding works featuring the unique characteristics of the Jianghai region, providing exposure to a group of talented artists.
