The Xinghua Economic Development Zone – located in Xinghua city, in East China's Jiangsu province – is striving to write a new chapter in its story of high-quality development and to cultivate new quality productive forces.
The term "new quality productive forces" is a key one in this year's Government Work Report.
According to the report, China will strive to modernize its industrial system and develop new quality productive forces at a faster pace.
Centering on healthy food and the equipment manufacturing industries, the zone will concentrate on attracting new projects. What's more, it is planning to sign up 16 projects worth over 500 million yuan ($69.01 million) each throughout the year.
In addition, more efforts will be made to optimize its allocation of industrial resources. For example, the zone will integrate existing resources to create featured areas for the health food industry, heat-resistant steel and heat treatment equipment industries.
Insisting on technical innovation, the zone will boost the development of its offshore innovation center to enhance project incubations and enterprise service capabilities.
It will also improve the policy system for innovative talent services, implement talent housing projects, expand channels for introducing talents and strengthen incentive mechanisms for sci-tech personnel.
