Xinghua city – located in East China's Jiangsu province – held a supervision and promotions meeting on the morning of April 12 to discuss the progress of major projects that are currently under negotiations, approvals and construction.
Representatives coordinated their actions to tackle critical and difficult issues holding up the progress of projects and exchanged ideas on the key tasks for the next stage.
Xinghua Mayor Yin Jun said the major projects were crucial for overall stable economic operations and staunch support for them would lead to new advantages that would bolster the city's high-quality development.
He urged his municipal departments to get to grips with the importance of attracting and constructing major projects – resolving problems clearly and concisely and introducing effective measures.
In terms of project services, he urged departments to proactively provide full lifecycle services for major projects – and to provide timely updates on the progress of projects that have already started and those that are at the planning stage.
