The 2024 Bio-based Material Industry Promotion Conference took place in the Taixing Economic Development Zone, located in Taixing city, East China's Jiangsu province, on Oct 25.
Liu Wenrong, mayor of Taixing, said that in recent years the city has vigorously advanced the fine chemicals and new materials industries, and the bio-based material industry was a future industry in the city's layout.

As Taixing's main carrier for the development of the bio-based material industry, the Taixing EDZ has gathered a group of high-tech enterprises in the field, represented by Zhongke Guosheng and Celluranics.
The Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering at the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Key Laboratory of Bio-based Polymeric Materials Technology and Application of Zhejiang province signed a cooperation agreement with the Taixing Fine Chemical Industry Research Institute. This was to jointly build a development alliance for the bio-based materials industry.
A roundtable dialogue was held on the research progress of bio-based polymeric materials, development of the bio-based material industry and new opportunities for investment cooperation.
