The Taizhou-Shenzhen Industrial Investment Promotion Conference was held in Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong province, on May 11.
Shenzhen has been accelerating its efforts to become a leading demonstration zone for socialism with Chinese characteristics, while Taizhou has been focused on becoming the most cost-effective city in terms of industrial development in the Yangtze River Delta region.
The conference served as a platform for Taizhou to share development opportunities with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, or GBA, where Shenzhen is located.

Taixing, a county-level city administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province, reached agreements for seven projects – five industrial projects, a capital cooperation project and a science and technology project – during the conference.
The deal for a special alloy manufacturing project invested by Jiangsu Xinchang Special Materials Co Ltd, which is located in the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone, was also signed during the event. This project has a total investment of 1.13 billion yuan ($162.39 million).
Four of these seven projects will be set up in the Taixing Economic Development Zone by businesses or groups from GBA. These projects are related to the fields of chemicals and new materials.
