Taixing, a county-level city administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province, was included in the innovative counties list released by the Ministry of Science and Technology on April 21.
Taixing, which has in recent years been leveraging science and technology innovation to boost industrial and economic development, is currently home to 269 high-tech companies and 626 small and medium-sized technology-based companies.

Among the notable tech-based companies in the zone is Donchamp (Jiangsu) Materials Technology Co Ltd, it received approval to establish a joint innovation center with the Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute in December 2022.
The new center is expected to further enhance the company's innovation capabilities and bolster its position within the acrylic sector.
The first company to have developed acrylic acoustical insulation barrier panels in China, Donchamp (Jiangsu) Materials Technology Co Ltd has been involved in the drafting of multiple international, national, and industry standards.
Looking ahead, Taixing will strive to form a more resilient and distinctive modern industrial system, said Xi Haiyan, director of the city's science and technology bureau.
