East China's Shanghai hosted the opening of the China International Exhibition of Musical Instruments at the Shanghai New International Expo Center on Oct 11.
Since its inception in 2002, the exhibition has become one of the world's largest and most influential musical instrument expos.
It provides a robust platform for China's music instrument industry, to venture into international markets and showcase its vibrant music sector to the rest of the world.
Huangqiao town in Taixing city – a county-level city, administered by Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – has gone above and beyond the call of duty in this year's exhibition.
It sent a top musical instruments exhibition team and created an impressive exhibition area covering over 1,200 square meters, to introduce the town as a great instrument hub to a global audience.
Participating companies from Huangqiao town this year included Jiangsu Fengling Musical Instrument Group, Stentor Music Company Ltd and Taixing Meiyin Musical Instruments Co Ltd. Their primary products on display ranged from violins, cellos, double basses, electric cellos, electric violins, to high-end guitars and various accessories.
In particular, Jiangsu Fengling Musical Instrument Group not only showcased its standard products but also focused on presenting high-end products to meet the demands of domestic and international customers.
On the opening day, the company received on-site orders from clients in North America, South America, Australia, Japan and South Korea, resulting in sales worth $300,000.
