Huzhou companies with AEO recognition see 9.5% growth in trade
Huzhou Zhonglei Chemical Fiber, based in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, has been approved and recognized as an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) by Huzhou Customs, becoming the third company in the city to obtain this advanced certification.
This raises the total number of companies with the AEO recognition in Huzhou to six, doubling last year's figure.
The AEO recognition is the highest credit rating by Chinese customs. Certified companies benefit from 45 types of clearance facilitation domestically and enjoy preferential treatment such as lower inspection rates in 57 countries and regions with mutual AEO recognition with China.
From January to October, Huzhou's companies with the AEO recognition reported a total import and export value of 640 million yuan ($90.54 million), a 9.5 percent increase year-on-year.

Zhao Lingli, assistant general manager of Zhonglei Chemical Fiber, said, "The AEO recognition offers numerous clearance advantages, aiding our international market expansion, and also helps to boost the credibility of new clients."
Zhejiang Jiuli Hi-Tech Metals in Huzhou has experienced tangible benefits after obtaining the AEO recognition, including easier business negotiations and faster, cost-effective customs clearance.
"This is our 20th batch of steel for export to the UAE this year," said Zhang Linjin, a representative from Jiuli. "Our export operations are smoother and more cost-efficient." The company saw an 86.5 percent increase in exports year-on-year.
