German delegation explores modern community development in Huzhou

A group of 22 students and teachers from Gymnasium Hohenlimburg in Germany visited Balidian community in Wuxing district, Huzhou, Zhejiang province, on Oct 10.
At the village history hall and life memory hall, student guides from Wuxing High School introduced the transformation of Balidian from a traditional village to a modern community. The German visitors were captivated by exhibits such as old farm tools and black-and-white photographs, which highlighted the community's evolution.
They later toured the Leshou Senior Care Center, observing the welfare services provided for elderly residents and experiencing the warmth and commitment of community governance.
The experience sessions allowed the German group to immerse themselves in local culture. Students practiced writing Chinese characters with traditional brushes while learning to use the fire extinguisher and understanding the community security system.
A robot performance showcasing the community's technological advancements left a deep impression, illustrating the blend of tradition and modernity in Chinese community development.
The visit provided a vivid glimpse for the German group into the progress of Chinese communities and their commitment to balancing tradition with innovation.
