The 8th China Hohhot Ethnic Cultural Tourism Activities and the 9th Zhaojun Culture Festival will be held in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region from July 13 to Sept 30.

The two events will feature folk performances, film screenings, travel photography exhibitions, food expos and sports competitions, with the aim of expanding the city's influence and helping improve its cultural status.

As the cultural events that the city is most known for, these activities will serve as an important platform to exchange artistic ideas as well as being a national gala of ethnic culture.

July 13, The 8th China Hohhot Ethnic Cultural Tourism Activities
The event will feature folk performances, film screenings and travel photography exhibitions, with the aim of expanding the city's influence and helping improve its cultural status.
July 20, The 19th Zhaojun Culture Festival
Over 20 activities will be held during the festival, including art performances, film screenings, exhibitions, forums, food festivals and sports matches.
Music festival

July 7 to 9, Hohhot
Leading musicians from home and abroad will gather in the city to bring attendees a musical feast. Superstar DJs and bands, including Mongolian folk-rock quartet Ajinai, have been invited to perform at the festival.
Hohhot Marathon

July 8, Hohhot
The Country Garden Hohhot Marathon will be started at the Inner Mongolia International Convention Center. It is the first international marathon in the city and will be attended by more than 13,000 runners.
Oktoberfest Beer Festival

July 7 and 22, Inner Mongolia International Exhibition Center
The festival is not only a part of this year's Zhaojun Culture Festival, but a global carnival that combines Bavarian style and ethnic Mongolian culture, helping promote cultural exchanges between China and Germany.
The 2nd vocal works show of ethnic minorities

July 14-18, Hohhot
The show will present 85 vocal pieces of 33 ethnic minorities in China, covering performances of solo, chorus and ensemble.
2018 National Photograph Exhibition of Ethnic Minority Areas

July 14-August, Inner Mongolia Exhibition Center
More than 200 photography will be on display at the exhibition.
The 2018 CBBA National Bodybuilding and Fitness Open (Hohhot Station)

July 14-15, International Convention Center
Hosted by the Chinese Bodybuilding Association (CBBA) and Hohhot government, the competition is divided into categories such as bikini fitness, classic bodybuilding, and body fitness.
