Hefei high-tech zone heads for future development
Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone has witnessed significant growth in quantum technology and life science in recent years.
In February, China's first dilution refrigerator for superconducting quantum computers, available for both mass application and business, was launched, highlighting the zone's quantum technology advancements.

Hefei high-tech zone accelerates its innovation process by building a basic research system of quantum information, operated by multiple platforms. Besides, it provides robust support to quantum enterprises, along with the construction of a national laboratory achievement transformation center.
Meanwhile, it promotes the integrated development of quantum industries by establishing the national-level Quantum Information Future Industry Science and Technology Park in 2023. Additionally, the zone furthers the application of quantum technology. Increasing high-end quantum instruments are used in fields like science education and material science.
Currently, the zone also sees a boom in life science. By 2023, the zone has attracted 697 enterprises, including 10 listed and 124 high-tech companies, with 6,507 invention patents authorized. Today, its leading enterprises span biopharmaceuticals, high-end medical devices, in vitro diagnostics, and synthetic biology. Recently, the Snow Lake Technology Supercomputing Headquarters Project confirmed its settlement in the zone, bringing top arithmetic support with an investment of 300 million yuan.
Hefei high-tech zone continues to establish itself as a hub for cutting-edge research and innovation in quantum technology and life science, propelling the region forward in the global scientific landscape.
