Hefei high-tech zone boosts electric vehicles development
The 10th Electric Vehicles Conference was held on Dec 8 in Hefei – capital of East China's Anhui province – and a top 100 list of core components for intelligent electric vehicles in the country was released at the event.
Automotive parts manufacturer AutoChips Inc, based in the Hefei National High-Tech Industry Development Zone, made the list in the intelligent automotive chips category – due to its leading position in the field and extensive experience in large-scale production.

The fast-growing auto chips supplier has established collaborations with over 95 percent of domestic automakers and has supplied top international auto makers.
With an overall annual shipment volume topping 250 million chips, the company is said to have made significant contributions to driving the new era of automotive development.
Founded in 2013 in the high-tech zone, AutoChips currently has over 300 research and development personnel.
The company's automotive-grade microcontroller unit or MCU products – including the AC780x, AC7840x and AC7870x series – are widely applicable in various areas such as intelligent cabins, vehicle controls, powertrains and new energy systems.
Its latest high-end intelligent cabin domain control chip, the AC8025, has already secured orders from two major international automakers.
It's expected that the move will further boost the high-tech zone's layout in the automotive chips field and provide strong support for the development of both the chip and auto industries in Hefei.
