Incubator in Hefei zone helps companies grow
Hefei STIP Co,a company run by the management committee of the Hefei National High-Tech Industry Development Zone – located in Heifei, capital of East China's Anhui province – has been focusing on creating a sci-tech innovation engine to provide comprehensive support and services to nurture tech startups.
Last November, the company established an incubator with a focus on attracting innovative teams in information technology, artificial intelligence and intelligent manufacturing.
"We provide entrepreneurial mentors who offer one-stop services for incubating companies in finance, legal matters, funding and company operations," said Cheng Chuanping, a member of staff at the incubator.
One of them is Anhui Gelanke New Material Technology Co, which last year settled in the incubator.
"Technology transfers not only require core technology but also involve finance, industry, management and other aspects. The incubator provides comprehensive support in terms of funding and policies," said Song Congfa, a manager of the company.
Though established for less than two years, the company has gradually entered the market and its innovative technology has moved from the "lab" to "real-world applications," Song said.

Like Song's company, 39 other companies are being nurtured in the incubator.
Hefei STIP Co has developed and operated over 10 industrial parks, with a total area of 500 hectares. The parks have gathered over 4,000 science and technology innovation-oriented enterprises, with an annual output value of over 27 billion yuan ($3.7 billion) and annual tax revenue topping 2 billion yuan.
