Diplomatic envoys eye Hefei's progress
A delegation of foreign diplomats invited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited Hefei city, capital of East China's Anhui province.
They attended a special promotion there on Sept 19 entitled "Discovering Hefei," ahead of the 2023 World Manufacturing Convention which opened the following day.
The event was attended by representatives from 18 countries, including Angola and South Africa, as well as officials from various departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China.
In the afternoon, the foreign envoys visited top enterprises in the city, including Chinese artificial intelligence company iFlytek, to learn about the latest developments in Hefei's emerging industries.

The city is currently greeting over 1,200 dignitaries and top business leaders from more than 60 countries and regions as the five-day 2023 World Manufacturing Convention kicked off there on Sept 20 – showcasing new business models, formats, technologies and products in the global manufacturing industry.
