Cornhusk tea made by popular beverage manufacturer and brand Genki Forest won the gold medal at the awards ceremony for the 2023 China Special Tourism Product Competition on Sept 1.

It was held during the 13th China Tourism Industry Exposition, which kicked off in North China's Tianjin city on Sept 1.

The product was selected and recommended by the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, located in Hefei, the capital of East China's Anhui province.

The three-day China Tourism Industry Exposition was co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the municipal government of Tianjin.

More than 21,000 items of merchandise went through two rounds of preliminary assessments and the best were sent to the contest site for the final judging.
