Key quantum computing conference held in Hefei city
The second CCF Quantum Computation Conference and the China Quantum Computation Industry Summit were held in Hefei, the capital of East China's Anhui province, on Aug 19.
Featuring 10 thematic forums, the conference brought together nearly 1,000 professionals in the field of quantum computing and provided a platform for them to share their research results and discuss different technical routes.

During the opening ceremony, Guo Guangcan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, emphasized the importance of developing domestic quantum computers that can be directly applied to various sectors of the national economy.
A highlight of the conference was the release of an advanced computing platform that integrates quantum and supercomputing. The platform is the first of its kind in China.
Origin Quantum, a quantum computing company based in Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, collaborated with the National Supercomputing Center in Zhengzhou to unveil this platform during a sub-forum.
The conference also hosted the award ceremony for the 2nd CCF Sinan Cup Quantum Computing Programming Challenge. The competition attracted close to 1,000 teams from over 260 colleges and universities worldwide, and culminated with 217 teams receiving awards.
