Hefei high-tech zone's IC sector recognized nationally
The Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone – located in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui province – has again been recognized as one of China's top 10 integrated circuits high-quality development specialty parks.
That renewed recognition for its IC sector came at the World Semiconductor Conference and Nanjing International Semiconductor Expo – held in Nanjing, capital of East China's Jiangsu province, from July 19 to 21.

The event was organized by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology. It's known as one of China's most influential summits in the semiconductors industry.
The Hefei high-tech zone has become a core area for the development of the IC industry, with nearly 300 IC enterprises and around 10,000 staff working there. The park achieved a revenue of 12.8 billion yuan ($1.79 billion) in 2022, generating year-on-year growth of 40 percent.
What's more, the Hefei high-tech zone is aiming to strengthen its position in the IC industry. That's by focusing on key technologies, attracting and nurturing high-quality businesses and expanding into niche fields like automotive electronics, general-purpose computing and smart home appliances.
To this end, the zone is actively building infrastructure – including an integrated circuits incubator and professional plants – in order to support future growth and enhance its overall IC industry cluster.
