Hefei high-tech zone company shines with STAR Market listing
Hefei city-based tech group I-TEK OptoElectronics Co Ltd grabbed the attention of investors on July 19, as it listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange STAR Market – officially known as the Shanghai Stock Exchange Science and Technology Innovation Board – which has been dubbed the equivalent to America's Nasdaq.
I-TEK OptoElectronics specializes in high-end industrial imaging technologies. It's located in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone – situated in Hefei, capital city of East China's Anhui province.

Founded in 2011, the company focuses on research and development, production and sales of high-end industrial imaging components.
It has over 110 models of industrial line scanning cameras, area scanning cameras and image grabbers, which are widely used in various industries – including new displays, semiconductors and lithium batteries.
The STAR Market newbie has a strong focus on sci-tech innovation and is recognized as a national sophisticated and specialized "little giant" enterprise, as well as a national intellectual property advantage enterprise.
The company has received several prestigious awards including the Anhui Province Science and Technology Progress Award and has secured 58 authorized patents, including 20 invention patents.
The public offering raised 1.247 billion yuan ($174.04 million). This will primarily be used for its industrial imaging core components project and for the machine vision R&D center project at its headquarters base.
