Hefei high-tech zone solidifies leading zone position in China
The Hefei high-tech zone in Hefei city, capital of East China's Anhui province has climbed two spots from a year ago to secure 12th position in the latest "Top 100 High-Quality Development Parks (2023)" list, which was released by the Park Economic Research Center of market research firm CCID Consulting.

This year, the high-tech zone has been focusing on becoming a world-leading science and technology park while prioritizing high-quality development.
The efforts have paid off, as the zone has consistently ranked among the top 10 national high-tech zones in the country for nine consecutive years.
The zone has achieved rapid growth in key economic indicators. From January to May, the value-added of large-scale industries, output value of strategic emerging industries, and general public budget revenue increased by 12.5 percent, 32.4 percent, and 8.3 percent respectively.
Efforts to foster the growth of promising enterprises have been successful as well, with tailored services provided to 376 companies to improve their efficiency.
Additionally, the USTC Silicon Valley – a hub for technological innovation – has made significant progress with the construction of a large-scale data support platform. The valley has also attracted nearly 30 major projects with investments exceeding 10 billion yuan ($1.38 billion).
Other notable achievements include the establishment of the first national center for the application of international advanced technology, a national key laboratory for deep-space exploration, and the construction of the first batch of national quantum information future industrial technology parks.
