These days high-tech QuantumCTek Co Ltd, based in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone – located in Hefei, capital city of East China's Anhui province – is really on the move when it comes to cutting-edge endeavors.

That's because it's played a key role in the development of China's first national standard in the field of quantum information technology.

That standard, called Quantum Computing Terminology and Definitions, was approved by the State Administration for Market Supervision and will come into effect on December 1.

It has the standards number GB/T 42565-2023 and is the first national standard approved by the Technical Committee Computing and Methodology Standardization Administration of China.

The standard provides rules and guidance for the terms and definitions related to quantum computing – including software, hardware, general foundations and applications – which will assist in the preparation of scientific research reports, technical documents and standards related to quantum computing. QuantumCTek is one of 20 parties that helped draft the regulation.

The standards are expected to reduce ambiguity and misunderstandings among all stakeholders in the quantum computing field.

Being the only company involved in the Zuchongzhi-2 quantum superiority experiment, QuantumCTek has established the ability to offer complete solutions for superconducting quantum computers.

The company recently launched a cloud platform for a new generation of quantum computing that allows access to Zuchongzhi-2.
