The Hefei Area of China (Anhui) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) has been focusing on technological innovation and industrial development to drive its high-quality development.

The Hefei Area of China (Anhui) Pilot Free Trade Zone is situated in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, or Hefei high-tech zone – located in Hefei city, capital of East China's Anhui province. 

This year marks the third anniversary of the China (Anhui) Pilot Free Trade Zone. To date, the Hefei Area has implemented 93 of 109 pilot tasks, with 15 tasks receiving provincial recognition.

Moreover, the Hefei Area has developed 68 provincial achievements in institutional innovation, of which 12 were pioneered nationwide.

In 2022, the Hefei Area saw 12,044 new business entities locate there. The actual utilization of foreign capital reached $550 million and its imports and exports totaled 125.46 billion yuan ($17.92 billion), while annual GDP hit 395.46 billion yuan.

With the support of more than 20 administrative departments – including customs, technology, finance and environment protection – the Hefei Area has developed a raft of pioneering achievements for institutional innovation in its comprehensive services, foreign-related services as well as its financing and legal services.
