Hefei high-tech zone gives rise to innovative geography lab
The Hefei No. 7 High School and Geovis, a high-tech company engaged in aerospace data systems and services, signed contracts on May 6 to establish a strategic cooperation program for training youngsters in the field of aerospace and to launch an innovative geography laboratory.
The two partners are located in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, or the Hefei high-tech zone – situated in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui province.

In fact, the lab has won high praise from the school. Geography teacher Yang Huijie said that geography experiments there are not like mathematics, science and chemistry – which set out to standardize parameters – and each time their experiments can show different results.
"We record the experimental data in real time and analyze the process and constantly adjust the tools and methods," Yang said.
"In this process, students gain not only knowledge, but also experience the continuous exploration of the unknown and the repeated thinking about the nature of things," he added.

In recent years, the Hefei high-tech zone has made concerted efforts in the aerospace industry and has attracted 80 enterprises in the field. This has developed into an entire supply chain including designs, manufacturing, testing and information services.
