Haima Cloud to set up HQ in Hefei high-tech zone
Haima Cloud – an influential cloud computing services provider in the field of graphics computing – will move its headquarters to the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, or Hefei high-tech zone – located in the city of Hefei, in East China's Anhui province.
That's according to a statement released on April 12 at a summit held in the zone. Over 59 top Chinese enterprises in the metaverse sector participated in the event and held talks about boosting their cooperation in the field.
At the summit, Haima Cloud signed strategic cooperation agreements with six financial institutions.

Previously, the Hefei high-tech zone issued an action plan on the development of its metaverse industry on Feb 14. This incorporates the concept of the metaverse in its industrial development strategy and maps out detailed plans for the zone to become a metaverse industry innovation hub.
As one of the key emerging digital industries, the metaverse provides a fully immersive virtual world where – with the help of high-tech goggles and other equipment – people can interact, work and play while posing as online avatars of their real-world selves.
