The Hefei high-tech zone is home to China Speech Valley, the first national-level artificial intelligence industrial park and is known for its pioneering quantum technology industry. It is also home to most of the high-tech businesses in Anhui.
At a meeting on April 6, Lyu Changfu, vice-director of the development zone's management committee, said that the innovative development of the Hefei high-tech zone over the past 30 years was inseparable from its support and contribution of incubation carriers.
In recent years, they are estimated to have contributed 27 percent to the total number of high-tech enterprises established in the zone, 43 percent of its emerging enterprises and 17 percent of its invention patents.
In addition, they are widely said to have served as a catalyst for sci-tech progress there, as a booster for promoting the transformation of tech achievements into industrial applications and as an accelerator for industrial developments.
Lyu added that the Hefei high-tech zone would continue to make new progress and contributions in this field.
