Hefei's QuantumCTek speeds up pioneering innovation
QuantumCTek, a Chinese pioneer and leader in commercialized quantum information technology, or QIT – based in Hefei, the capital of East China's Anhui province – is speeding up its innovation.
It's accelerated moves to contribute to the nation's efforts in making breakthroughs in core technologies in key fields of endeavor, local media reported recently.
QuantumCTek was established in 2009 on Yunfei road in Hefei, as a platform of the University of Science and Technology of China to commercialize its technology in economic and industrial applications.
Following that, a host of quantum information technology companies have emerged on Yunfei road, now dubbed Quantum Street.

While striving to promote innovation, QuantumCTek has been working to foster industry supply chains, ranging from optics, electronics chips manufacturing to product development – and then onto the application of technology in various advanced commercial scenarios.
The company is not only attracting more upstream and downstream enterprises to develop together, but also boosting links between enterprises to help maintain the vitality and competitiveness of the entire industry supply chain.
In the meantime, QuantumCTek continues to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between universities to boost the vitality of innovation.
The company has big plans for the future, according to vice president Zhou Lei.
"Moving forwards, we will play a pillar role as an enterprise for innovation – overcoming the difficulties in core technologies with universities and scientific research institutions and continuing to make breakthroughs in core technologies in key fields," Zhou added.
