Satellite tech firm thrives in Hefei high-tech zone
Rhosoon – an aerospace technology company based in the Hefei high-tech zone in Hefei city, the provincial capital of Anhui in East China – is enjoying high-quality development, with reduced costs and improved efficiency.
The company's independently developed satellite internet terminal equipment can achieve an automatic match within two minutes, and track the satellite from a high-speed vehicle quickly and accurately.
"With the continuous optimization of our self-developed 3D modeling, printing technology and algorithms, the costs are reduced and the products show better performances," said a local manager at the company.
The profile height of Rhosoon's new product, a receiving antenna, is just 12 centimeters, making it the smallest of its kind in China. Because of its diminutive size, it can be applied to various carriers.
Moreover, the RUV-900 car-borne phased array satellite communication device developed by Rhosoon was used by China Media Group during a live broadcast of the astronauts' journey home, when China's Shenzhou XIV space mission crew landed at the Dongfeng Landing Site on Dec 4.
"In recent years, China's commercial space industry has enjoyed high-speed development, especially with the successful launch of our first domestic high-throughput satellite called the Asia-Pacific 6D,"said Cheng Xuechen, a public relations director at Rhosoon.
"As there is growing demand for ground terminals, our annual sales growth has been over 50 percent for three straight years," Cheng added.
