Hefei high-tech zone company Origin Quantum delivered a self-developed quantum computer core device of impedance-matched quantum parametric amplifier, or IMPA, to its users, marking a new level of China's R&D and commercialization in the quantum computing field.

"The IMPA is one of the indispensable core devices to develop practical quantum computers," said Jia Zhilong, deputy director of the Anhui Quantum Computing Engineering Research Center.

"Developed independently by Origin Quantum, the IMPA is designed in a highly integrated manner, which can work at extremely low temperatures of 10mK to 200mK (minus 2731.15 C to minus 54,609.8 C). It also has very low power consumption and is easy to be embedded into large-scale application systems," Jia added.

Origin Quantum is China's first quantum computing company that went online in 2020 with the first domestic superconducting quantum computer Benyuan Wuyuan. It also provides quantum computing services to users worldwide through its cloud platform.
