Anhui Hanneng New Energy Co Ltd, based in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone – located in Hefei, the provincial capital of East China's Anhui – entered the finals of the National Disruptive Technology Innovation Competition as the province's sole representative to advance to this stage.

The sub-competition of the 2022 National Disruptive Technology Innovation Competition kicked off in Suzhou New District on Nov 22, attracting 110 projects from 20 provinces across China. The three-day event focuses on biotechnology, green technology and new energy.

Founded in 2021, Anhui Hanneng New Energy Co Ltd specializes in the R&D, production, sales and service of electrolytic water hydrogen production and fuel cells. It also cooperates with the national R&D platform of the School of Nuclear Science and Technology of the University of Science and Technology of China and the National Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory.

The company's products are mainly used in fuel cell vehicles and other forms of transportation, as well as in the logistics and aerospace fields. They also support water-electrolysis hydrogen production equipment and hydrogen-refueling stations, as well as other hydrogen energy development and production fields, boasting a number of core independent intellectual property rights.
