A project signing ceremony for an inspection and test city project was held on Jan 12, marking the settlement of the second headquarters of Shanghai's WEIPU Testing Technology Co Ltd in the Hefei high-tech zone – located in Hefei city, capital of East China's Anhui province.

With a total investment of 800 million yuan ($118.17 million), the project is funded by WEIPU Testing Technology Co Ltd and the Liando U Valley Group.

It is expected to become a national physical testing and inspection high-tech service industry cluster. It is also expected to attract over 20 enterprises in the upstream and downstream industry supply chains for high-end precision instrumentation equipment manufacturing, testing and inspections.

WEIPU Testing Technology Co Ltd ranks among the top three in China's private testing and certification industry and is the largest private comprehensive inspections and testing organizations in East China.

Plans are for the second headquarters of the group to devote itself to the development of platforms and enhance its service capacity, to provide strong support for the high-quality development of the inspections and testing industry.
