Anhui Yuheng BiologicTechnology Co Ltd, based in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, or Hefei high-tech zone – located in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui province – recently did a big thing to help the battle against COVID-19.

The company donated 180,000 tablets of ibuprofen and 36,000 tablets of acetaminophen to the Hefei high-tech zone on Dec 23.

"As an enterprise in the Hefei high-tech zone, we hope the drugs can help people in need and ease their pain," said a company spokesman.

Established in 2014, the group is a high-tech innovative outfit engaged in research and development, production, sales and services for biomedical products.

It is a Marketing Authorization Holder (MAH) company in Anhui province that currently has a large number of production approvals. The official MAH system in China provides patients with broader access to more innovative drugs.

The company, which settled in the Hefei High-tech Zone in 2020, has taken great strides in the past few years. That's been with the help of the zone's efficient business environment and its own sound sales network and sales system.

Plans are afoot for the company to make full use of the advantages of the biomedical industry's strong foundations in the zone and to strengthen its cooperation and exchanges with major universities.
