The International Advanced Technology Application Promotion Center (Hefei) was formally inaugurated in Hefei Zhongan Chuanggu Technology Park on Nov 27.

It's located in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone in Hefei city, capital of East China's Anhui province and it is the first of its kind in China.

Under the auspices of the National Development and Reform Commission, the center has been  developed by Hefei city and has set its sights on the major needs of the country.

It is expected that it will promote the integrated development of innovation, industry, capital and talent. It will also speed up the direct application of strategic, cutting-edge, disruptive technologies in related fields, as well as the commercialization of sci-tech achievements.

"The center will give full play to the advantages of Anhui's leading science and industries, focus on key areas and major tasks and make contributions to the development of an innovative nation," said a senior manager of the project.

The center is projected to break through information barriers and market access restrictions that restrict industrial development and the flow of innovation factors. It is also expected to promote the direct application and commercialization of advanced innovation achievements.
