The planned quantum information future industry science and technology park, that is due to settle in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, or Hefei high-tech zone – in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui province – was recently included in the first batch of the national future industry science and technology park construction pilot incubators.

That's according to information released by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education on Nov 25.

Nationally, the future industry science and technology park pilots incubators are expected to support university-government-enterprise cooperation and build platforms for innovative future industries.

To be built by the University of Science and Technology of China and the Hefei high-tech zone, the Hefei park will focus on quantum science and technology.

It will bring in influential high-level sci-tech talent and innovation teams and accelerate the commercialization of sci-tech achievements, in a bid to create a dynamic, world-renowned quantum center.

The Hefei high-tech zone is home to China Speech Valley, the first national-level artificial intelligence industrial park and is known as the Quantum Center for its pioneering quantum technology industry. It is also home to most of the high-tech businesses in Anhui.
