Construction on material technology company Estone's operation center officially started on Nov 7 in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone in Hefei, capital of Anhui province.

Jiang Xuexin, chairman of Estone, said that the operation center indicates a new starting point for Estone, which can help build high-tech platforms and promote materials research and development (R&D).

Estone plans to build its operation center and production base with a total investment of 1 billion yuan ($137.64 million), of which 400 million yuan will be invested in the operation center. The operation center is expected to be put into use in 2025, and the production base is expected to start construction in 2023.

Established in January 2006, Estone is an industry-leading provider of advanced inorganic non-metal composite materials. It was named as a national high-tech enterprise in 2012 and was listed on the science and technology innovation board at the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2021.
