People across Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone watched livestreams of the report given by the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) to the 20th CPC National Congress, which was held in Beijing on Oct 16.

The report highlighted that education, science and technology, and human resources are the fundamental and strategic pillars for building a modern socialist country in all respects, said Song Daojun, director of the zone's administrative committee, adding that the zone will strive to become a world-leading science and technology park.
