The 2022 Digital Earth Ecology Summit, co-hosted by the administrative committee of Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone and GEOVIS, a Chinese leader in the field of digital earth, was held in Hefei on Aug 11.

New products of the GEOVIS Earth series were released at the summit. Shao Zongyou, vice-chairman and president of GEOVIS, said that the products will help realize the localization of digital earth products in China, develop online digital earth products with international competitiveness, and empower the digital economy.

The summit also witnessed the launch ceremony of the GEOVIS Digital Earth Science Center and the signing ceremony for the establishment of the Hefei GEOVIS Aerospace Information Technology Industry Fund.

The GEOVIS Digital Earth Science Center plays a foundational role for the GEOVIS Digital Earth Global Headquarters in Hefei. It plans to develop the world's leading GEOVIS digital earth series products and build a global operation headquarters to improve satellite data acquisition and processing capabilities and create application scenarios, providing Digital Earth's online services and experiences for global users.

The Hefei GEOVIS Aerospace Information Technology Industry Fund was initiated by GEOVIS in conjunction with government platforms and social capitals. It will promote the cluster development of upstream and downstream enterprises in the aerospace information industry chain and give a boost to the development of the aerospace information industry in Hefei.

GEOVIS  settled its Digital Earth Global Headquarters in the zone in November 2021 and secured agreements to establish its four subsidiaries in the zone on Feb 28.
