The first Quantum Computing Industry Summit, hosted by the China Computer Federation, is set to be held on Aug 21 in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui province.

The event invited government officials to interpret quantum computing industry policies, professional companies to share the progress of the quantum computing industry, and upstream and downstream companies from the industry chain to share industry trends.

Dialogues and exchanges on applying quantum science and technology will also be conducted during the event.

The summit aims to create a high-end exchange platform and an open cooperation platform with a national influence to attract upstream and downstream enterprises to participate in the development of quantum technology and promote in-depth industry-academic-research institution integration and collaborative innovation.

Various departments from Hefei's government helped organize the event. In recent years, Hefei has focused on constructing a comprehensive national science center as an opportunity to closely follow the second wave of the quantum technology revolution, strengthen basic research in the field of quantum computing, and actively create a source of quantum innovation technology.

The city is working to establish itself as a hub for the quantum computing industry by focusing on the transformation of scientific research accomplishments, the research and development of key core technologies, and the industrial cluster development model.

Quantum computing is currently one of the most competitive strategic emerging technologies on a global scale, and many countries are rapidly advancing the industrialization of quantum computing. International giants in finance, medicine, and intelligent manufacturing sectors are exploring how to apply quantum computing in industrial scenarios, and have achieved numerous breakthroughs.

China's quantum computing industry is still in its early stages. In a bid to speed up the development of China's quantum computing industry, the industry summit will set up a bridge for communication and coordination among all parties.
