The List of the Top 100 High-quality Development Industrial Parks in 2022 was released on Aug 10, and Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone ranked 14th on the list.

Zhongguancun Science Park, a high-tech demonstration zone in Beijing, topped on the list, followed by Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park in Shanghai, and Shenzhen High-tech Industrial Park in South China's Guangdong province.

The list, published by market consultancy CCID Consulting, covered a total of 53 national-level high-tech zones and 47 national-level economic development zones.

Industrial parks play an important role in driving the growth of the regional economy. National zones are serving as the ballast for China's stable economic growth, the stabilizer of the country's opening-up to the outside world, as well as the main engine of innovation-driven development.

Hefei high-tech zone is one of the first national high-tech industrial zones ratified by the State Council in 1991. It is located in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui province.

The zone is home to China Speech Valley, the first national-level artificial intelligence industrial park, and is known as the Quantum Center for its pioneering quantum technology industry. It is also home to most of the high-tech businesses in Anhui.
