JA Solar, a manufacturer of high-performance photovoltaic products, signed a cooperation agreement with Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone on July 25 to build Hefei JA Solar 25GW Photovoltaic Industrial Park in the zone.

Both sides believe that the photovoltaic industry has ushered in a golden period of development, and they have developed a long-lasting relationship. Hefei JA Solar Technology Co Ltd, one of JA Solar's largest module production bases, was established in the zone in 2021.

With a total investment of 5 billion yuan ($741.12 million), the new project's first phase includes the reconstruction and expansion of five smart factories, a standardized warehouse, and 110KV substations, and the second phase includes new smart factories and supporting facilities as well as a R&D and an experiment center.

After the project is fully completed, the annual revenue of Hefei JA Solar Technology Co Ltd is expected to bring in about 24.5 billion yuan.
