Construction of iFlytek's AI base kicks off in Hefei

East China's Anhui province launched 1,032 key projects on April 7. Among them, iFlytek's artificial intelligence (AI) R&D and production base (Phase I) is expected to help build an AI hub in the province.
iFlytek, an AI and speech-technology giant, plans to further develop its businesses of applying its technology into the fields of education and smart city construction as well as build its core R&D platform and AI open platform at the base.
The AI base is located in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone in Hefei, capital of Anhui, where iFlytek is headquartered. The initial area will cover an area of nearly 15 hectares, with a construction area of about 250,000 square meters.
iFlytek has continued to promote the use of intelligent speech and AI technology in recent years. The company's business has continued to grow at a quick pace, necessitating an immediate requirement for industrial development space.
The AI base will provide development space for high-growth fields in iFlytek's artificial intelligence industry, making use of the good opportunity of continuous market scale expansion and accelerated industrial system construction.
The AI base will also aid in the development of a new-generation AI industrial cluster in Hefei and Anhui, as well as a world-class AI industry landmark.
