Xu Lixin, president of Fullcolor, a technology startup in Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, said he was deeply impressed by the help and support from the zone's government.

According to Xu, when his company faced a dilemma in the early stages of starting a business due to the epidemic, the zone's government helped them connect with financial institutions to obtain working capital loans. After further development, the zone's government supported them in market sales, brand promotion, and project declaration.

Xu and his company's story is one of the many cases in the zone that are related to helping technology startups through difficult times and supporting their high-quality development.

The zone has been in the top 10 among China's 169 national high-tech zones for seven years in a row. Lu Ping, secretary of the Party Working Committee of the zone said it is talents who give a boost to the robust development of the zone and the zone's government will continue its efforts to attract overseas talents, improve services for talents and business development, and encourage business startups and innovation.

To build a hub for overseas talents, the Western Returned Scholars Association (WRSA) of the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone was established on Dec 12, 2021, and has gathered 130 members including Xu who serves as executive director of the WRSA.

Lu said the zone's government will fully support the WRSA to give full play to its role as a bridge with overseas talents and to attract more overseas Chinese talents to the zone.
