Hefei high-tech zone ranks among top 10 national high-tech zones

The Torch High Technology Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology recently released results of a comprehensive assessment of the performance of national high-tech zones in 2021.
The Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, which is located in Hefei, East China's Anhui province, was ranked 8th out of 168 national high-tech zones in China, marking the zone's eighth consecutive year in the top 10.
Hefei high-tech zone stood among top 10 in all five first-level indicators for which the rankings were based, including innovation capability and entrepreneurship vitality, industrial structure and value chain, green development and livability, open innovation and international competitiveness, and comprehensive efficiency and ability to spur further innovation.
In terms of open innovation and international competitiveness, Hefei high-tech zone took fourth place, following Zhongguancun, Suzhou Industrial Park and Shanghai's Zhangjiang.
Official statistics showed that in 2021, the exports of high-tech products from Hefei high-tech zone increased by 36.98 percent from that in 2020. The exports of technical services accounted for 28 percent of the zone's total exports in 2021, ranking third in China.
